Another bright morning at Bayview Family Church! We began the service with a time of testimony and prayer requests: there was a lot to praise God for and much to seek Him in. We prayed for many who were sick and especially for Pastor Paavo in India. Pastor Jacob gave all the announcements for the week and excitedly reported on the REACH weekend in Sudbury. They ran a Kid’s Activity Day as well as leading worship at Siion Church that same night. He retold how the students who volunteered gave it their all and the drivers were greatly appreciated.

Pastor Darren spoke from the Word of God on putting on the garment of praise as a joyful act of obedience. This word stirred the church to pray! Darren’s friend Pastor Wade came and led a prayer not only for our church but for all the churches in the city of Toronto.

Only two weeks until the Easter Launch and Bayview Family Church is getting excited!

A great time at Bayview Family Church! A bright morning gave a great feeling to the worship and even the announcements received applause. Pastor Darren spoke from the Word about fixing our eyes on Jesus. From there we went into a time of prayer with a focus on the lost people of Toronto.

With only weeks until the Launch on Easter Sunday there is a lot of excitement and a lot of praying to do but praise God it is all coming together for His glory!

Today was a great day to be with God’s people in His house. We had a combined Finn – Eng service. It was also our Annual General Meeting day. Board Chairman Matti Varvas led the service. Pastor Darren open with a brief word and prayer. He then told of developments in our English language ministry. The English congregation will be called BAYVIEW FAMILY CHURCH.
The youth worship team led in songs of praise and worship. Pia Neale presented the children’s work, Jacob Puiras told us what is happening among the youth and Kimmo Hämäläinen talked about the children’s camps, the six week day camp and the week long camp. We took time to pray for the leaders of these areas of work. Saalem Singers sang 2 powerful hymns. Pastor Paavo spoke about “Giving our best to the Master.” He is worthy of our best. Good enough is not good enough. He spoke about how Mary poured her entire alabaster bottle of precious perfume on Jesus. She did what she could. The service ended with receiving communion and then a tasty lunch in the fellowship hall.
